A Refined & Regal Carpet Ride: The Electric Rolls-Royce Spectre

When Rolls-Royce officially announced that they would create an electric vehicle, fans had numerous questions! After the first glance and whisper of this notion, many were concerned. If it didn’t live up to expectations, a quite famous namesake would be in question. During Autoevolution’s close look at the electric Rolls-Royce Spectre, they were fully amazed.

The Electric Rolls-Royce Spectre

This group of experienced auto reviewers claimed that the Spectre “maintains the magic carpet ride.” Others have wholeheartedly ranked it as “the best car in the world.” Any diehard car lover would agree that all of the luxury elements are still present. While incredibly futuristic, the Spectre still has a familiar cockpit design.

Dual-Motor Divinity: Riding High on the Spectre’s Power

Many car lovers remember how the act of balancing a nickel on a Rolls-Royce powertrain was popular. The Spectre employs dual motors that crank out 567 horsepower and 640 lb-ft of torque. When you stomp the accelerator with purpose, the Spectre hits 60 mph in just four seconds!

This is quite an accomplishment for a model that weighs almost three tons. The all-important driving range state resides at 320 miles on a full charge. With just a few luxury additions, this fantastic machine will cost you up to $500,000. Patience will be a needed virtue, as the standby cue for the Spectre is two years long.

Ogling One Incredibly Gorgeous Shell:

In appearances on Vossen’s social channels, the Spectre featured SP3 disc-style wheels. They come in 22 and 24 inches and are expected to cost more than $11,000. The InsideEvs website recently reported that the Spectre will be equipped with a 102- kWh battery. DC fast charging numbers are up to 195 kilowatts.

This should allow for a 10-80% charging time in just 34 minutes. Energy consumption for a Spectre rolling on 22-inch wheels is estimated at about 416 watts-hours per mile. Auto writer Brandon Turkus claimed during his Spectre test drive that it’s definitely at home cruising in wine country!

The Incredibly Well-Versed Taste of the Future:

Brandon remarked after his time with the Spectre that “Rolls Royce switched to electrification as easy as you or I can change shoes.” He took a brief moment to mourn the end of the brand’s majestic V-12. He pulled up excitedly at the Silverado Trail in Calistoga and dialed up the pinnacle of thrust.

Most modern EVs deliver torque as immediately as any car lover can fathom! The Spectre, surprisingly enough, had put a unique form of delay in their dynamic system. Even as speed builds heartily up, the arrival of power is quite gradual by comparison. The Spectre’s suspension is so phenomenal that the driver can barely sense the intense rearward shift.

Green and Growl: Merging Eco-Efficiency with Excitement

The Spectre not only needed to accelerate like lightning, it also needed to stop precisely and quickly. The brake-pedal experience evokes plenty of breathing room and possesses a taut sense of grabbiness. The twin motors on board also operate in 100% silence.

At this point of the game, the act of creating artificial engine noise is pretty commonplace. The outgoing V12 had spurned a very dedicated arsenal of “loyal listeners!” if you opt to go without, this cabin has had major care allocated to its admirable silence. The complete absence of decibels is one of those properties that modern makes now offer.

Unplugged from the Matrix: Subtle Resistance:

Once inside the Spectre’s cabin, there’s the somewhat strange presence of a trademark thick steering wheel. This also marks the very first time a Rolls-Royce features a fully-fledged digital cluster. The “Spirit” infotainment OS comes to the surface swingin’ with a completely re-skinned look.

Every surface here is covered with wood, metal, or authentic leather. When this attentive evaluation team climbed in the backseat, they enjoyed ample head and legroom. Up front, the sightlines are nothing short of legendary! After 200 very enjoyable miles, the group agreed that this was the “finest EV on the planet.”

A Modern and Tenacious Triumph:

The shift to electrification had many car lovers worried that many valuable elements would be lost in the process. Rolls-Royce has long taken up space in the celestial plane that rules everything petrolheads hold near and dear. These cars are so very much more than supercars and are reserved for those who believe in drop-dead perfection.

Henry Royce was convinced that he could construct much finer cars than those built in France at the time. The very first model took to the pavement with only 10 horsepower! This company was also first-rate at assembling groundbreaking aviation engines. Their battery-powered aircraft is the world’s fastest vehicle, stupendously clocking 387 mph.

Spectre-acular Symphony: A True Rolls-Royce Masterpiece

What do you think of the Spectre’s amazing and otherworldly presence? Is it flat-out unreasonable to even spend time dreaming of driving one of these incredibly pricey models? Rolls-Royce is an all-out spectacle of achievement, and a benchmark for “better than best!” Let us know what you think in the comments below, or check out another article about the eye-popping cars from James Bond films!
