Everything We Know About the New 2021 Mercedes S-Class

A few weeks ago, an account on Instagram dropped leaked photos of the 2021 Mercedes S-Class, prompting a commotion online. Reports have since verified the leaks to be real. Scroll through to see the internet’s first look at the 2021 Mercedes S-Class

The next generation of Mercedes’ flagship S-Class model, codenamed “W223”, is expected to debut sometime this fall, although Mercedes has yet to announce an official date. Until then, other than the leaked photos and a teaser image put out by the manufacturer themselves, fans of the brand have little to go off of when it comes to info on the new Mercedes S-Class.

Based on all the information and details we do have at our disposal, here’s everything we can tell you about the upcoming 2021 Mercedes S-Class.

Style evolved

From the leaked photos and teaser image, we can see that the 2021 Mercedes S-Class boasts a reliably upscale exterior, although it’s not a big departure from the current S-Class design.

The 2021 model will have a slightly larger grille than previous designs. As far as lighting goes, the new model carries slim, stylish headlights accompanied by new horizontal taillights sporting a sleek chrome strip stretching from fender to fender.

In short, don’t expect a wild departure from Mercedes’ typical S-Class design. The real magic of the 2021 S-Class however, lies inside its doors.

Big changes to the S-Class’s interior

Here’s where the biggest changes to the Mercedes S-Class are taking place. Designers have completely revamped the 2021 model to differentiate it from predecessors. Perhaps the biggest change is the huge touchscreen display in the center of the dashboard.

Aside from the touchscreen display that dominates the look of the interior, the 2021 Mercedes S-Class interior suits a modern, streamlined taste. Unlike previous models, the central air vents are now above the new touchscreen display. From the leaked photos, the interior looks quite luxurious and roomy, making it a great pick for a small family.

Cutting-edge tech

In addition to a brand new interior design, Mercedes says the 2021 S-Class will make use of AI tech. Based on those remarks, a new version of the Hey Mercedes voice-activated virtual assistant is likely slated for release.

Additionally, many expect the new S-Class to feature Level 3 autonomous driving capabilities. This will make it one of the few cars on the road with such intelligence.

For now, that’s all we know about the new Mercedes S-Class. We’ll share more information as Mercedes gets closer to debuting the W223 later this year. Until then, keep our page bookmarked for all the latest car and automotive news.
