5 of the Best Truck Accessories Your Pickup Truck Could Use Right Now

Ruggedness, capability, and sheer dependability. These are often the first thoughts that come to mind when it comes to trucks. Whether you’re pulling heavy trailers, hauling big loads, or going off-road, pickup trucks can handle it all. They’re a great all-around type of vehicle, and they’re growing more popular by the year. In 2019, Americans bought about 270 trucks each minute, which goes to show just how popular the pickup truck has become. Personalization is another key reason people love their trucks. With so many truck accessories to choose from, there are a million different ways to customize your pickup truck to your liking.

Not only do pickup truck accessories help truck owners tailor their vehicles to suit their unique driving style – the right truck accessories can actually keep your truck livable and perform at its best, even after 100k miles. Today, we’ll be taking a look at some of the best truck accessories you should know about. If you’re thinking about making the switch to a pickup truck, or simply want to upgrade your ride, we’ve got you covered.

TonnoPro Tri-Fold Soft Tonneau Cover

One of the great things about having a pickup truck is that you’re free to haul around whatever can fit in the bed. In some cases, though, you’ll want to be able to protect your cargo from the elements. This is where a tri-fold cover can come in handy.

We’re starting off our list of the best truck accessories with a classic – the Tonneau cover. We love this pick by TonnoPro in particular because its weather-tight seal keeps your cargo safe. And, thanks to its clamp-on installation, you’ll be able to DIY this cover in less than a minute.

LeeKooLuu HD 720P Backup Camera and Monitor Kit

Nowadays, backup cameras come pretty standard on most models. If you have an older pickup truck though, you might be missing out. Thankfully, it’s easier than ever to equip your old truck with a handy backup camera.

While you should never rely on a backup camera alone to solve all your parking problems, they can be a useful pickup truck accessory to have if you consistently have trouble with blind spots.

At an affordable price point, we appreciate the LeeKooLuu’s waterproof camera and multi-functional display.

Husky Liners Weatherbeater Floor Liners

If you’re trudging through the mud and dirt everyday, you don’t want to bring that into your beautiful truck. Sometimes, it’s impossible to keep the elements outside, which is why having good, weatherproof floor liners is a great idea for your truck.

If you’re looking into pickup truck accessories, Husky Liners Floor Liners should be at the top of your list. These slip-proof liners can stand up to the heaviest water, mud, and muck, and are easy to clean, which will help keep your truck looking pristine – no matter what kind of dirt and grime you may have on your boots.

Dee Zee Single Lid Crossover Truck Toolbox

If you own a pickup truck, chances are you find yourself working from the bed from time to time. Having a toolbox installed right in the bed can be a convenient way to keep all of your tools and supplies handy for when you need them.

For security, we recommend a locking toolbox. This pick by Dee Zee has consistently received high ratings. Featuring lockable stainless steel paddle handles and diamond plating for better traction, this lockable toolbox makes a great addition to your arsenal of useful truck accessories.

EAZ LIFT 48058 1000 lbs Elite Kit

A good towing kit is probably one of the most useful pickup truck accessories you can add to your vehicle. You never know when you’ll need to tow something, and having a high-quality trailer hitch can actually boost the resale value of your truck if you ever decide to put it on the market.

With an impressive maximum gross weight rating of 10k lbs and maximum tongue weight capacity of 1k lbs, the EAZ Lift trailer hitch easily knocks the competition out of the park. Plus, the U-bolts and chain package come pre-installed on the spring bars, making installation much easier.

There’s plenty of reasons why pickup trucks are one of the most beloved vehicle types out there. They’re dependable, stylish, and can always be counted on to get the job done. And with the right truck accessories added, you can squeeze even more performance out of your favorite pickup.

    1. I am not much of a truck person. So I always thought the covers, etc came with the truck. It is interesting to learn that these are additional accessories for purchase.

    2. An often overlooked but great addition to a pickup truck is an upgraded sway bar kit. They make a huge difference in handling, but they do not affect ride quality. One of my favorite upgrades.

    3. Back up cameras are a life saver at the boat ramp, especially if you are alone. Any extra vision can be extremely helpful when trying to navigate the slim, sometimes shared, downward slope.

      1. A camera is really helpful for towing, since you can see exactly what you are doing.

    4. nice article !

    5. Great article. I think the cover is one of the best items to get, also the backup camera. Some other great items are LED bed lights, and LED light bars.

    6. Just stay away from the smaller wheels that stick out 1 foot from the fender. Not only does it decrease gas mileage, but it looks terrible.

    7. I think I need to upgrade my weight distribution hitch. This one looks way better.

    8. Backup cameras are a godsend.
