The Autoblog editors claimed that this year’s LA Auto Show was not quite as over-the-top as they expected. They still pounced on the opportunity to experience firsthand the first live look at cars first revealed overseas. Here is their take on a winning assortment of 5 favorites from the L.A. Auto Show.

5 Favorites From the LA Auto Show

The TruthAboutCars crew stated that this year’s event in L.A. was a bit more lively than Detroit’s. Some of the biggest event news was that Stellantis did not have to pull out due to UAW issues. OEM reps and analysts claimed it was now evident that some of the issues lingering after Covid have finally eased up. The Toyota Camry and Honda Accord received incredibly high marks for going way above and beyond “just showing up.”

Here are 5 of the standout models from the LA Auto Show that offered a thrilling glimpse of the future’s amazing potential!

The 2025 Toyota Crown Signia:

Toyota has faced the future by adequately sizing up the writing on the wall. The 2025 Toyota Crown Signia now adds all-wheel drive, a liftgate, and more cargo room. It is larger than the Toyota Venza, which is a compact-only crossover. Motor Trend was excited about the new grille that resembled that of a Lexus.

The Crown Signia’s 2.5-liter inline-four cylinder cranks out 236 horsepower. There is also an Eco mode that provides electric-only driving. The Limited trim boasts the amazing 11-speaker JBL audio system. 21-inch wheels and a panoramic glass roof are other segment-leading selling points. Folding the seats flat yields 6.5 feet of extra cargo space. Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 comes as standard, offering the best in modern collision prevention.

The 2024 Kia Sorento:

The 2024 Kia Sorento strutted its stuff as an impressive choice with its interesting new design. This year it boasted a larger grille and very bold styling cues. It now stakes a claim as a front-runner in an increasingly competitive category. The Sorento also has a commanding presence for consumers looking for the best warranty coverage on the market.

This year’s model boasts a completely reworked instrument panel, along with very cool new taillights. The 281 horsepower turbocharged unit is a bit more aggressive for tackling the demands of the daily drive. The Sorento is an excellent choice for those who may want to occasionally haul around more than five. Buyers have also been appreciating the Sorento’s balance of modern and rugged exterior styling.

The 2025 Toyota Camry:

This marks the first year that the Camry is only available in a hybrid powertrain option. This popular midsize sedan is now revised with more power and a much sportier appearance. There is a distinct new “hammerhead” style, which boasts an angular daytime running light arrangement. Front-wheel drive Camrys crank out 225 horsepower, with the all-wheel drive setup bumping things up to 232.

Toyota engineers re-engineered the fuel tank to make room for the optional new AWD’s rear e-motor. The AWD models are precisely tuned to deliver on-demand torque distribution between front and rear axles. The XSE trim offers goodies such as a body-colored grille, and very cool black rear spoiler. The base-level LE comes equipped with standard features such as LED projector headlights and 16-inch wheels.

The Lucid Gravity:

The Lucid’s solid track record is notorious for delivering the goods where other models fall drastically short. New for the 2025 model is available rear-wheel steering system, along with an auto-adjusting air suspension. This makes a massive difference in low-speed handling and two-lane experience.

The Lucid’s 500-mile range is a pretty extreme cause for auto-exec celebration! This is a claim that no other model in the segment can boast. 300 kW charging can add 200 miles of range in just 15 minutes. Towing capacity is 6000 lbs, and you’ll get from 0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds. The Lucid Sanctuary is a very cool “not-driving” visual mode that displays nature images on every screen.

2025 Subaru Forester:

This is an excellent new model from a brand that has a very unique and dedicated following. This kicks off the sixth-generation of this very popular 5-seat SUV. It now boasts the latest version of Subaru’s latest infotainment system. There’s also the very handy addition of a foot-activated hands-free power liftgate.

There’s 8.7 inches of ground clearance, along with a distinctively modern appearance. A full-width trim bar out back gives the rear end a much wider look. Onboard what3words navigation is a fantastically simple means of reaching your destination. Emergency Stop Assist is now a standard feature, and the Premium trim benefits from the dual-function X-mode system.
