Introducing The All-New 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L

As the fifth generation Grand Cherokee debuts on the automotive market, we find ourselves introduced to a newcomer, known as the Jeep Grand Cherokee L. Arriving in Spring 2021, Jeep enthusiasts have something new to look forward to. For the first time, buyers can drive a Jeep SUV with three-row design and up to seven passenger seating. It’s called the Jeep Grand Cherokee L.

It’s almost a bit shocking to the standard two-row blueprint that has defined the much adorned Grand Cherokee line. However, we are not complaining. This grandscale verison is very much welcomed. Big families can now add a new family-sized SUV to their list of options, one that delivers on comfort, safety, and performance capabilities.

Check out what makes the 2021 Grand Cherokee L a great addition to the Jeep family.

Style and capabilities

The Grand Cherokee L has the appearance of a hybrid model, taking characteristics from the classic Grand Cherokee and the highly-anticipated Grand Wagonner. With stylistic influences from both models, the Grand Cherokee L will likely become a staple of Jeep manufacturing and fulfill a niche of more passenger seating.

The Grand Cherokee L comes equipped with Selec-Terrain traction management system, including five terrain modes of auto, sport, snow, and mud/sand, and hill-descent. With a towing capacity of 6,200 with a V-6 and 7,200 pounds with a V-8, it falls in the same performance category as the standard two-row 2021 Grand Cherokee.

With up to 24 inches of water fording potential, you can manage the L in all topographies, sticking true to Jeep’s philosophy.

Interior

Declared by Jeep as the “grandest interior yet”, the Grand Cherokee L delivers a quintessential design, including a luxury feel with masterful craftsmanship. This next-gen is making way for a new level of interior comfort – the look and feel of the Grand Cherokee L is high-end while simultaneously offering the rugged features and comfort that Jeep drivers expect.

The available three-row seating allows both room for your beloved pet and all your friends. With ambient LED lighting, soft leather seating, the cabin itself has received the biggest upgrade.

Available to the Summit Reserve package, drivers can enjoy cooled front and second row seating and even massaging front seats. Can you imagine? Sign me up now.

Safety

All 2021 Grand Cherokee L trims come standard with the following safety features:

  • Collision warning
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Activating braking
  • Lane-keep assist
  • Brake assist
  • Blind-spot monitoring

With these safety features, you can drive confidently knowing Jeep has your back. Upgraded safety features include:

  • Night vision camera
  • Drowsy driver detection
  • Intersection collision assist
  • Active driving assist

New tech features

With a larger size SUV, comes larger than life technology. The state-of-the-art Uconnect system now offers an available 10.1-inch touch screen with Apple CarPaly, Android Auto and available Wifi hotspot. On top of the already standard car tech, the 2021 Grand Cherokee L includes available:

Head-up display

With the Head-Up Display, drivers can keep their eyes on the road while following turn-by-turn directions from their windshield.

Rear seat monitoring camera

This feature allows parents or dog owners to keep an easy watch over the back seat without taking your attention off the road. High-definition images display on the Uconnect screen, with the option to zoom in or enable a split-screen for varied seat views.

McIntosh MX950 system

For the first time, luxury home audio is available in an SUV. With the McIntosh MX950 entertainment system, drivers can transform their interior cabin into a full blown concert space.

Time to get behind the wheel of a Jeep Grand Cherokee L

There is no reason to be skeptical about buying this new car, the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L is the ideal SUV, encompassing the luxury level of a BMW or Mercedes. With the purchase or lease of the L model, you will automatically be enrolled in their worry-free maintenance program for 36 months. Come springtime, we’ll have a better idea of pricing options as well.

Until more details are revealed, we hope last week’s unveiling has hyped all drivers for its upcoming release. It’s about time #Jeep showed us what three-row luxury means.
