Lucid Air Pricing Reduced, Outlook Positive for Upcoming Gravity SUV

The electric vehicle market is experiencing a downturn, prompting automakers, like Ford and General Motors, to scale back their production and pricing strategies to stimulate sales. Tesla, known for spearheading this trend, will continue to do so by reducing prices for the Model Y rear-wheel drive and Model Y Long Range by a little over 2% each until the end of February. Lucid Motors, another U.S.-based EV startup and aptly Tesla’s biggest competitor, has followed suit.

As Lucid prepares for the imminent launch of the Gravity SUV, they’ve taken steps to reduce prices across their Air lineup in light of market conditions. Interested in learning more about the new pricing and features of Lucid vehicles? Keep reading for all the details!

Most affordable: 2024 Lucid Air Pure

The most budget-friendly Lucid sedan is still the Air Pure, now featuring a single-motor, rear-wheel drive powertrain as its sole option. The previous all-wheel drive option was discontinued in 2024. Equipped with a 16-module, 88-kWh battery pack, this entry-level model offers an impressive 419 miles of range, and can charge up to 200 miles in 17 minutes. With 430 horsepower under the hood, it boasts acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds.

The starting price is $69,600 for the 2024 year, after undergoing a  $7,500 price cut at the beginning of the quarter.

Better Performance: 2024 Lucid Air Touring

In order to acquire the Air sedan with all-wheel drive capability, you’ll need to upgrade from the Pure trim to the Touring trim. This model exclusively features a dual-motor AWD setup. It comes with a slightly larger 18-module, 92-kWh battery pack, and boasts a targeted range of 411 miles per charge. With 620 horsepower distributed across all wheels, it accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 3.4 seconds.

The updated Touring trim surpasses the outgoing 2023 Pure AWD trim in both power and claimed range, which is now unavailable for order. The all-new 2024 Touring trim starts at $77,900, nearly a $9,500 price reduction from 2023.

Luxury Range: 2024 Lucid Air Grand Touring

The Grand Touring trim elevates the experience significantly compared to its predecessors. Unlike the Pure and Touring models, this variant received a modest $1,000 price reduction, setting its starting price at $109,900. With an impressive range of up to 516 miles and the ability to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3 seconds, thanks to its 819 horsepower, this model offers exceptional performance.

Supreme Performance: 2024 Lucid Air Sapphire

While the Sapphire trim may not be within everyone’s budget, it stands as the pinnacle of performance among Lucid Air models. Equipped with three motors and boasting an impressive 1,234 horsepower, its performance speaks for itself. Accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just 1.89 seconds and reaching a top speed of 205 mph, the Sapphire offers an exhilarating driving experience.

The price of the fully-equipped Sapphire is listed at $249,000. At this price point, you can expect all the bells and whistles offered by Lucid Motors.

*The Lucid Air pricing and trims also come with a number of package options, including the Comfort and Convenience, Surreal Sound and DreamDrive packages. You can read more about these upgrades on Lucid’s website.
