Rolls Royce Cullinan Series II: A Review

The SUV market is one of the fastest-growing areas of the automotive sector. Many people are realizing that SUVs have many inviting attributes that many saloons or smaller cars do not. The extra legroom, cargo space, and additional features such as tow bars and foldable passenger seats are just some of the most popular reasons customers are changing to a bigger car.

As the uptake on these vehicles is huge, even Rolls Royce wants a piece of this pie. Six years ago, they released the Cullinan as the first foray into SUV vehicles. It was a roaring success and became the pinnacle of luxury many brands cannot reach. Rolls Royce is the ultimate statement of opulence. As this SUV is the most requested car for the luxury company, the Cullinan Series II is a long-awaited second act.

Comprehensive review of the Rolls Royce Cullinan

Under the bonnet of the second version of the Rolls Royce Cullinan, there is a 6.75-litre twin turbo V12 engine capable of producing up to 563 horsepower and enough torque to power a small motorcycle.

On the exterior, the Cullinan Take-Two has a newly designed front end that includes daytime lights running across the bonnet line and down into the air intakes at the front of the car. The lights draw to the incredible width of the vehicle, which is purposeful as it gives the car a strong stance and presence. The air intakes at the front of the car sandwich the car’s grill, which is also illuminated. There are V-shaped lines on the bonnet that are reminiscent of a super-yacht prow.

Under the car, the Cullinan has 23-inch rims, which are needed to fill the wide arches. Additionally, the exhaust has been manufactured using mirror-finish stainless steel.

Interior features

Everything in the interior can be customized to the customers’ wants, needs, and tastes. The digital dash, first seen in the Spectre, is still featured, but the owner can pick the color of the instrument dials to match whatever color they choose for the upholstery or design palette.

You can choose several interior textiles for the Cullinan, including a new bamboo-made material called Duality Twill. If this is the material for you, it will take up to 20 hours to install it into your car. And no fewer than 2 million stitches will be used in the process. Also, if you are someone who is interested in art, choose the Placed Perforation textile option, which gives you the option of replicating any artwork in the world on the vehicle upholstery. A Black Badge option features the option to add black chrome, a different air intake design, and carbon trimming. By adding all these cool and unique styling options, Rolls Royce hopes that the Cullinan will appeal to a younger dynamic. In addition to an older, more financially comfortable customer base.

Along with the digital dash, there is a new addition in the form of a panel that stretches across the dashboard. This panel features a new “clock cabinet,” which houses a small Spirit of Ecstasy figure, along with many other features.

Added comfort

The passengers in the backseat will be riding in extreme comfort. Each seat has its own private screen that can connect up to two personal technological devices. Not to mention, the famous Rolls Royce seats can be heated and cooled, depending on your preference. Moreover, they can also listen to Rolls Royce’s bespoke audio, which contains 18 channels and an amplifier.

Like all Rolls Royce vehicles, there is a litany of optional extras that customers can choose from in the Viewing Suite, where all design decisions are made. Some opulent extras include two leather chairs and a matching table that can fit comfortably in the boot.

While many of the SUVs being released have off-roading and towing capabilities, these features have not been mentioned. But Roll Royce is quick to point out that this SUV is “effortless, everywhere.” While It may not be a green light to go off-roading, you will be comfortable wherever you are.

Conclusion

Overall, the Cullinan Series II shows that it doesn’t matter what model Rolls Royce produces, whether it is an SUV or a saloon. They always know how to balance world-class automotive engineering with tasteful opulence. Even the late Queen of England chose Rolls Royce as her mode of transport compared to any other brand. It is why they have been the top luxury automotive brand since its inception over 118 years ago.
