Hennessey Mammoth 1000 6×6 TRX: A Complete Review

Like the saying goes–everything is bigger in Texas–including the new Hennessey Mammoth 1000 6×6 TRX. This souped-up Ram truck is built by Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE), a Texas-based hypercar manufacturer and high-performance vehicle creator. The company was founded in 1991 by John Hennessey when he took his love for performance and racing to the next level to create faster, more power vehicles. In 2021, the Mammoth 1000 Ram TRX was the most popular Hennessey vehicle paving the way for what’s to come with this 6×6. 

Here’s What to Expect 

With the production for this pick-up truck officially underway, the Mammoth 6×6 is by far the most powerful truck built by Hennessey Performance. It utilizes a 2021 Ram TRX as its base, adding an extra axle for two more wheels, upgraded off-road suspension, new front and rear bumpers, and other unique specs. Massive almost seems like an understatement with this truck. The Mammoth 6×6 measures 7.33 feet wide and is just shy of 7 feet tall. Those numbers are nothing in comparison to its length, which measures to be 283-inches, or almost 24 feet, long. Just in case you were worried that you might not be able to get in and out of this mighty pick-up truck, it comes equipped with upgraded electronic fold-out steps for all four doors. 

Hennessey added a third axle to accommodate wheels five and six. The truck features 20-inch 10-spoke Hennessey wheels with 37-inch off-road tires wrapped around them. 

Under the hood, Hennessey has exchanged the existing 717hp, supercharged Hellcat V-8 for a specially-tuned 7.0-liter Hellephant engine that now delivers a whopping 1,012 bhp. Additionally the torque has increased from 650 lb-ft to 696 lb-ft to help keep this monstrous truck moving forward. The Mammoth 1000 4×4 TRX goes from 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds. It can reach a complete quarter-mile sprint in 11.4 seconds. But it’s expected the numbers will be quite longer for the 6×6 due to its sheer size and weight.
